Sildenafil citrate, sold as the drug Viagra, is used to treat male erectile dysfunction (impotence), developed by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.

Viagra was initially developed to treat heart disease (angina). However, during the trial studies, the penile erection enhancing effects were noticed. The drug was patented in 1996, approved by the FDA on March 27, 1998 (becoming the first pill approved to treat erectile dysfunction in the United States) and offered for sale in the United States later that year. It soon became a great success. Even though Viagra is only available by prescription from a doctor, it was advertised directly on TV . Viagra works becuase part of the physiological process of erection involves the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum. This then activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase which results in increased levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), leading to smooth muscle relaxation in the corpus cavernosum, resulting in increased inflow of blood and an erection. Sildenafil is a potent and selective inhibitor of cGMP specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) which is responsible for degradation of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum. This means that, with Viagra, normal sexual stimulation leads to increased levels of cGMP in the corpus cavernosum which leads to better erections. Without sexual stimulation and no activation of the NO/cGMP system, Viagra should not cause an erection.

Is there anyway of getting Viagra legally without going to the doctors? My problem isn’t doctor worthy!
I have found going out and getting very drunk usually leads elsewhere, Im always safe but find that im so drunk it lasts forever and never does anything for me.

I guess I am not clear what i need by answers I am getting. Here are facts

.50 year old male has trouble getting erection and keeping it. Sometimes losing erection during intercourse.
What I want is solution to this so I can again get erections without trouble and maintain them.
What I dont want is expensive solutions. Viagra and other script drugs cost too much. So do some over the counter solutions like Vigrx. Yohimbe products make me dizzy. I am currenlty trying tribulus but its too early to tell if it works. I am on day 13. I walk everyday so that isnt doing it either. Years ago (about 5) I was told I had low testerone. What I want is vitamins, herbs, exerecises (anything) that will increase my sex drive have me get erections easier and maintain them. I don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars otherwise I would just ask Doctor for prescription. Something that cost less than $40.00 for one month supply would be great. I don’t want assumptions.
